Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and how to reach us. Effective 26 September 2026.
Overview. This policy covers the Pritam Nayak app and website (pritamnayak.com). We collect very little personal data, and only what is needed to run product reviews and back-in-stock alerts and, if you create an account or place an order, your account and your orders. There is no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking software in this app.
What we collect, and why. Browsing the catalogue needs no personal data — product, price and stock information is loaded from our backend, erp.pritamnayak.com, without identifying you. If you submit a product review, we collect your name and email address along with your rating, review text and any photos or videos you attach, and send them to erp.pritamnayak.com so the review can be moderated and published; only a shortened name (e.g. "Jerry S.") is ever shown publicly, never your email. If you sign up for a back-in-stock alert, we collect your email address and the product you asked about, sent to erp.pritamnayak.com so we can email you once it is back in stock. If you create an account or place an order, we collect your name, email address, phone number, delivery addresses and order details, and send them to erp.pritamnayak.com so we can fulfil your order and show your order history on every device you sign in on. Separately, the app generates a random code on your device — not your name or email — used only to count product page views and "was this helpful" votes on reviews; our server keeps just a one-way hash of that code, never the code itself.
Where it's stored, and for how long. Reviews, back-in-stock requests and the anonymous counters above are stored on our servers at erp.pritamnayak.com. A back-in-stock request is deleted once the alert is sent or the product is discontinued. A review is kept for as long as it stays published, plus a short period for moderation records. Your recently-viewed items stay on your own device. If you browse as a guest, your wishlist and shopping bag stay on your device too. If you create an account and sign in, your bag, saved items, addresses and orders are stored on our servers (erp.pritamnayak.com) so they appear on every device you sign in on.
Sharing. We do not sell your personal data and do not share it with advertisers. We do not use any analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. Our hosting provider processes data on our behalf strictly to keep the site and its features running, under confidentiality obligations, and never for their own marketing.
Cookies and local storage. The website and app use local device storage to remember a guest's wishlist, bag, recently-viewed items and the anonymous counters described above. If you sign in, our server also sets a session cookie that keeps you signed in. We do not use cookies or local storage for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Your rights. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you (for example, a review or a back-in-stock request), and you can withdraw consent for a back-in-stock alert at any time. To do any of this, write to us through our Contact page at pritamnayak.com/pages/contact; that page is also our contact point for privacy grievances, and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Children. This site and app are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Security. Everything sent to our servers travels over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Like most websites, our hosting provider's server logs may record the IP address and browser/device information (user agent) of each request, for security and troubleshooting only — never to build advertising profiles.
Changes. We may update this policy as the app changes; the effective date above will change when we do.
